Honour Roll & Work Habits Rubric

As outlined in the ‘Student Code of Conduct’, each student must take responsibility for his/her learning. The following rubric clarifies the Honour Roll scale and classroom work habits and behavior expectations.


HONOUR ROLL

ADR ALL STARS

  • Students who achieve a GPA of 4.0  in a term AND have all E/G on their report card are ADR All Stars

A HONOURS

  • Students who achieve a GPA between 3.60 and 4.0 in a term receive A Honours (or All Stars if they have only E/G work habits).

B HONOURS

  • Students who achieve a combined GPA between 2.80 and 3.59 in a term receive B Honours

RAM CLUB

  • Students to achieve 6 or more Es or Gs with zero Ns are part of our RAM Club

WORK HABITS

EXCELLENT (E)

  • Responsibility: Demonstrates an industrious work ethic, ready to work and learn.
  • Cooperation: A class leader exemplified by a high degree of positive and meaningful participation initiated by the student.
  • Independence: A keen and enthusiastic learner actively seeking out personal growth and learning opportunities.

GOOD (G)

  • Responsibility: All assignments turned in, on time for class, ready to work and learn.
  • Cooperation: Works well with other students and teachers.
  • Independence: Self-directed learner, takes appropriate initiative.

SATISFACTORY (S)

  • Responsibility: Most assignments turned in, seldom late, usually ready to work and learn.
  • Cooperation: Usually works well with other students and teachers.
  • Independence: Often needs one-on-one attention.

  NEEDS IMPROVEMENT (N)  

  • Responsibility: Most assignments missing, often late, frequently not ready to work and learn.
  • Cooperation: Does not work well with other students or teachers.
  • Independence: Needs one-one-one attention most of the time.

GRADES

A

  • 86 - 100%
  • GPA = 4

B

  • 73 - 85%
  • GPA = 3

C+

  • 67 - 72%
  • GPA = 2.5

C

  • 60 - 66%
  • GPA = 2

C-

  • 50 - 59%
  • GPA = 1

F

  • 0 - 49%
  • GPA = 0

 

Please note:

GPA is rounded to the 2nd decimal. IE:  A GPA of 3.59 is a B, not an A
All graded courses carry equal weight for GPA calculations. IE: PE has the same GPA weight as Science.
